Yes, just yesterday we revealed that the Strokes may be planning another project for next year, but unfortunately for all you Strokes fans, band member Albert Hammond Jr. has denied that the band is back in the studio. In a fan email newsletter promoting Hammond’s solo album, the band mentioned that it was “toiling and writing, looking at 2014 for a return to the scene.”
However, when Hammond was questioned about the comment by Billboard, Hammond dismissed the rumors, saying that that isn’t necessarily the case. “We don’t know anything yet,” Hammond said. “There’s no news or information. We’re not writing or doing anything—maybe individually we are, but it’s not like we’re in the studio or anything.” Sorry, Strokes fans. It looks like Comedown Machine is all you’re getting for now.
