The much-anticipated lineup for 2014’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival was announced last night. The festival, which is held in Manchester, TN will be from June 12-15 this year. Headliners include Elton John, Jack White, Lionel Richie and Kanye West (who has a checkered past with the festival after a much-maligned 2008 performance).
Other artists of note for Elmore readers are the Avett Brothers, a yet-to-be-announced Bluegrass Superjam hosted by comedian Ed Helms, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Bobby Womack, Dr. Dog, Yonder Mountain String Band, Drive-By Truckers, Shovels & Rope, Carolina Chocolate Drops and J. Roddy Walston & the Business.
As usual, the festival will feature a broad range of genres, from rock to electronica to world music, as well as film screenings, dance parties, stand-up comedy and a 5K race.
Tickets go on sale Feb. 22, and start at $249.50. During the festival, Bonnaroo becomes the seventh largest city in Tennessee.
More acts will be announced later. See the full lineup here.
