The two principal members of Led Zeppelin have been firing verbal shots at each other for months over a failed attempt to reunited the band. Most recently, Jimmy Page told reporters that he was “fed up” over Robert Plant’s refusal to do a reunion tour. Now, Plant has responded in kind, telling The National that Page needs to “have a good rest” over the whole ordeal.
Plant insisted that Page needed to take some time to think about whether or not reuniting Led Zeppelin was a good idea, and he also downplayed the seriousness of their feud. “We have a great history together, and like all brothers, we have moments when we don’t speak on the same page,” Plant said. “But that’s life.”
Plant and Page haven’t played together onstage since their one-off concert at the O2 Arena, which has since been released as part of the Celebration Day box set. Plant is currently on tour with his new band, the Sensational Space Shifters; his new album is due out on September 9th.
