Festival season rolls on with the announcement of the lineup for this year’s Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta. Some familiar names appear on the bill, along with a few surprises: headlining this year’s fest are The Strokes, Wilco, and the Pixies, with Tame Impala, Ryan Adams, and Neutral Milk Hotel as sub-headliners.
Shaky Knees marks the first announced live performance for The Strokes this year, who have remained relatively quiet since the release of their album Comedown Machine in 2013. While band members Julian Casablancas and Albert Hammond, Jr. have both released solo records since then, the band have only played a handful of times in the past year, most recently at last year’s Governor’s Ball festival in New York City.
Other performers at Shaky Knees include Spiritualized, TV On The Radio, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Interpol, The Avett Brothers, The Mountain Goats, Best Coast, Dr. Dog, Mac DeMarco, Built To Spill, Real Estate, Speedy Ortiz, The Both, The Black Lips, Trombone Shorty, Matthew E. White, and more.
Shaky Knees takes place on May 8th-10th at Central Park in Atlanta. Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 16th, at 10:00 A.M. EST. To purchase tickets and to get more information about the fest, visit the Shaky Knees website.
