As far as weird rock band pairings go, Weezer and ZZ Top isn’t the weirdest thing in the world. After all, an avowed guitar nut like Rivers Cuomo would certainly appreciate the work of Billy Gibbons. Still, you wouldn’t expect the two bands to play together, but that’s just what happened on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night. Playing as Wee-Z Top (yes, they called themselves that), the new supergroup tore into the ZZ Top classic “Sharp-Dressed Man.” Gibbons is still a master, but Cuomo holds his own on here, as well.
