John Fogerty has just announced that he will be releasing a tell-all book in October aptly-titled Fortunate Son. Fogerty is responsible for some of the biggest songs of the ‘60s and early ‘70s including “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising” and “Green River.” In fact, in 1969 Creedence Clearwater Revival outsold The Beatles, which speaks volumes on their rock and roll legacy. “I’m excited to share my story and my life with you. You’re going to hear where it all started, my passion to become the best musician I could be,” Fogerty said.
Though, it wasn’t all pretty. Fogerty also stated, “You’ll travel down some rough roads, but that road leads to something beautiful. My book won’t be sugar coated! It’s all in there.” The members of CCR have, of course, had some fairly well-publicized arguments over the years that have unfortunately included lawsuits. Fogerty will also be touring the country this summer performing many of his biggest hits.
Fortunate Son hits book shelves and digital formats on October 6, 2015. Be sure to check out him out on his “1969 Tour” which will feature all of the Creedence classics you have come to expect. Check out the tour dates below:
