Food Bank for New York City will be hosting its annual Can Do Awards, with musical guests Little Big Town and Jon Bon Jovi, on April 21st at Cipriani Wall Street in downtown Manhattan. This organization, the largest hunger relief organization in the five boroughs, has served the greater New York City area for 30 years. Today, with more than 1,000 charities throughout the city, Food Bank has provided more than 63 million free meals to people in need. The Can Do Awards seek to honor those who have gone above and beyond in the way of serving the organization. This year, Tom Colicchio and Lori Silverbrush will be commended for their contribution to the plight of the hungry. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation and Sandra Lee-Simple Living Publishing will also be recognized for the work they have provided to the organization.
Headlining this event is Grammy Award-winning group, Little Big Town, a country quartet known for its four-part vocal harmonies. Guest appearances will be made by Grammy Award-winner, Jon Bon Jovi, best known as the front man of the impeccably talented band, Bon Jovi, as well from actors Michael J. Fox, Talia Balsam and John Slattery.
