The Alumni Association of the Bronx High School of Science presents an evening with iconic rock photographer Elliott Landy. While Landy is probably best known for photographing the music legends of the Sixties, he also photographed the iconic 1969 Woodstock Festival, and was on the front lines of the anti-war movement, camera in hand. Some of his most famous works include Bob Dylan (Nashville Skyline), Janis Joplin (Big Brother & The Holding Company: Cheap Thrills), Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Van Morrison (Moondance). Landy’s work opens up a window to the not so distant past and allows fans to see their favorite artists in a way they hadn’t before.

This event is not to be missed by anyone who is a fan of music or photography, as it’s a rare opportunity to hear from an artist whose work shows music legends in their finest moments, while also illustrating the influential era of the ’60s.The event will be held at the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at 365 Fifth Avenue on November 18 at 6:30 pm, and will include a slideshow of work and discussion with Landy. The tickets are $20 dollars each, and can be purchased online here.
