Multi-faceted Katie Vincent has always been involved in the arts, as an actress, singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. Her most recent project is the independent noir-western film, Pickings, which she produced and is also one of the lead actresses.
Vincent received her BFA in Drama from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and already has film credits for Prego, Death (and Disco Fries), Before The Snow, Hotel and BadPuss: A Popumentary, among other titles. She has performed in stage and now has combined her love of music and acting in the independent western-noir, Pickings.
Vincent told Elmore,”The Way It Goes” is an anthem for Pickings. I wanted to create a sound that matched the epic story of a badass woman and her spawn– setting the rules and making sure all debts are paid. I looked to inspiration infused with attitude. Johnny Cash is more than his music, he’s an idea. I sought to do that. A song is a chance to tell a story not only with words, but sounds. I wanted to make something that felt like old school retribution on every level.”
