With diverse influences from country to rock to today’s pop, multi-talented 23-year-old singer/songwriter, Luke Underhill, is making his mark. Combining his mystically old soul and unique take on songwriting, Underhill releases his sophomore EP, Illuminations, with hit producer Warren Huart (The Fray, Marc Broussard, Korn, Aerosmith, Better Than Ezra) showcasing Underhill’s storytelling and unique sound.

Skilled pianist, guitarist, and songwriter Luke Underhill might have pursued a career in professional baseball had it not been for a friendship with his high school choir teacher. When he entered freshman year of high school he didn’t know anyone, so he asked the school’s choir master if he could hang in the choir room for lunch. Underhill explained, “She taught me where middle C was and how to form a chord. That was it. I went into that room every day at lunch, and practiced. I owe Mrs. T a lot. She taught me how to do my favorite thing.”

A proud supporter of local and national charities, Underhill has a special place for The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. He explains: “I was adopted at a young age, and this foundation answered a lot of those questions for me, and made me realize how lucky I am, and how important it is to consider adoption.

About his new video for “Yet Again,” Underhill told Elmore: “I didn’t want anything about this video to be complicated. The song is about messing up, again and again. Countless chances, and the screwups keep coming. I wanted to portray that in the video without directly saying so. So as I walk down that road alone, bottle in hand and distressed, who knows what happened?

The budding star splits his time between Chicago, LA and Nashville, writing, recording and playing shows.
