The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will be paying tribute to Kenny Rogers with a biographical exhibit titled Kenny Rogers: Through the Years, opening August 15th, in conjunction with an in-person interview at the Hall of Fame the following day. The exhibit will run until June 14, 2015. In celebration of the exhibit, the museum will also be hosting a series of related events, including a Songwriter Session with Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member Don Schlitz, who wrote signature Rogers songs like “The Gambler,” “You Can’t Make Old Friends” and “The Greatest” on August 16th. There will also be a screening of Kenny Rogers: Live by Request, a 2001 concert film, on August 17th.

The museum will also release a companion book, Kenny Rogers: Through the Years, to accompany the exhibit. The book will include a series of photos, many of which had yet to be published, as well as perspectives on Rogers’ career from key musical figures, including a foreword by Dolly Parton.
