Since releasing her self-produced 1996 debut, Morbid Romantic, Rachael Sage has been performing over 100 shows a year with her band, the Sequins, while sharing bills with the likes of Sarah McLachlan, Judy Collins, the Animals and Ani DiFranco. On November 4th, fans will have a chance to hear her new album, Blue Roses.
The new album explores themes of transformation and the impact one person can have on another’s destiny. Sage explains, “These are incredibly confusing, chaotic times we’re living in, and the older I get, the more vital it seems to me to document unabashed, wholehearted empathy wherever and however I can as an artist.”
Check out “English Tea,” the soulful and melodic first track off Blue Roses below, exclusively through Elmore.
