The 34th Annual John Lennon Tribute is coming up in December, and the lineup for this year’s event is one the best they’ve ever put together. Debbie Harry and David Johansen top a bill that includes the likes of Kate Pierson from the B-52s, Joan Osborne, Amy Helm, Marshall Crenshaw, Ben E. King, The Fab Faux’s Rich Pagano, The Kennedys and Chrissi Poland.
The event will also feature the first presentation of the John Lennon Real Love Award, which will be presented to famed photographer Bob Gruen.
“After all these years it’s still a deeply moving night,” tribute organizer Joe Raiola said in a press statement. “John’s music and message are timeless, and as relevant as ever.” Proceeds from this year’s tribute will go to Theatre Within’s John Lennon Real Love Project, which works to bring music and the creative arts to children in hospitals, schools, and communities in need.
The 34th Annual John Lennon Tribute takes place on December 5th at Symphony Space in New York City. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
