Tame Impala play a heady, groovy mix of psychedelia and Sixties-tinged rock that sounds like an instant classic as soon as you hear it. Formed in Australia, the band were turning heads as soon as they debuted with their self-titled EP, but it was the massive success of their second full-length Lonerism that really got people excited. It’s not without reason, either: there isn’t a bad song on Lonerism, and “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” is one of the best songs made in recent memory. We can’t wait to see what they do next, but L.A. fans might get a sneak peak when the band come to the Shrine Auditorium.
