Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member and drummer of the Yardbirds, Jim McCarty, is getting the band back together. Following a handful of shows last year, the reunited band has just announced that they’ll be going on a full-blown tour in the spring of this year.
In case you were hoping for the glorious return of legendary once-upon-a-time members Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, no luck there, but the current line-up still promises to deliver.
McCarty has brought back Top Topham, the band’s original guitarist, and added Kenny Aaronson on bass and Myke Scavone on blues harp, percussion and vocals. John Idan, who performed on Birdland, the band’s 2003 release, will take the reins as lead singer and guitarist.
Below are the recently announced dates, with more to follow soon.
