The Southern Westchester (SOWE) Music Festivals have just announced their third annual event, which promises to be the biggest yet. SOWE is partnering with 107.1 The Peak to offer a tremendous lineup with an eclectic bevy of rock, folk, alternative and indie bands, including Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals, Marc Cohn, David Johansen, Shawn Mullins, Willie Nile and many more.
In case you find yourself needing a break from the music, the festival, which takes place at the beautiful and sprawling Harbor Island Park, has plenty more to offer. The Park, which has just about every outdoor, waterfront activity you could dream of, such as fishing floats, tennis courts, swings, ball fields and even a beach, will also have rides and games set up for the youngsters among us. For their adult company, wine and beer will be readily available, as well as a truly international selection of food options.
For any musicians out there, 107.1 The Peak is also giving local, upcoming artists a chance to add themselves to the Festival lineup by participating in an online “Battle of the Bands.” Competitors in the contest will be chosen from among the artists featured on The 9:37 Local, a new local music centered show on 107.1. Artists are invited to submit their music and potentially be featured and promoted on the show!
Early bird tickets for the Fest are on sale through July 31, with VIP tickets and VIP parking passes also available for purchase. To buy your tickets, and to find more information on the lineup, kids activities and food options, visit SOWE’s website here.
See you at Harbor Island Park!
