The French are coming. Okay, so they’ve already been here for a while. And French indie-rock/synth-poppers Phoenix are no exception. Phoenix has been around for a couple years now, but they really broke out with 2009’s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. They made a home on our charts here in the U.S. with hits like “1901” and “Lisztomania.” Then, big got bigger with a win of the “Best Alternative Music Album” award at the 2009 Grammys. The band just finished working on their next album in Paris. They’ve been working on this new album since 2011, so we’re hoping for something great. No official title has been announced yet. Daniel Glass, head of the group’s label, Glassnote, predicts that the new album will be released in April of next year.
