Top Chef Ric Orlando’s award-winning restaurant was host to a few special guests who braved snow and sleet to dance the night away. Home-town favorite PeachJam made up for a prolonged absence by inviting former Wings drummer Steve Holly, who kept both the band and the audience hopping.
Beside Holley, band leader, vocalist and bassist Tommy Booth ceded a number of vocals to guitarists Chris D’Amato and Dave Skoglund as the band ripped through “Friend of the Devil,” ”Willie and the Hand Jive” and “Let It Bleed,” as well as Allman Brothers’ favorites “Statesboro Blues,” “Southbound” and “Melissa.” Orlando proved his cooking isn’t the only hot and spicy thing at NWHC as he sat in for “Satisfaction” and Sympathy for the Devil.”
Of course, Holley (who once lived in Michael Lang’s home in Woodstock) offered special sweet treats with “Back in The USSR,” “I Saw Her Standing There” and “Get Back.” Did I mention NWHC band nights are free?
