The line-up for the seventh annual T-Bone Blues Fest in Linden Texas has been announced today. Covering two nights from Friday June 22nd to Saturday June 23rd with an indoor and an outdoor stage the festival not only honors the legacy of the legendary T-Bone Walker but also raises money for charity while giving a platform to some of the best blues musicians out there.
Money raised will go to support two great causes Music City Texas Theatre a local non-profit music venue and the Fairview Community Centre, also non-profit organization that offers free literacy and computer programs to the community.
The indoor venue is reserved seating only with tickets priced at $20 each but the outdoor Mid-South stage is open seating and free admission. The show starts 5PM Friday, 5.30PM Saturday.
The performers are a mixture of award winning artists and newcomers but all with a passion and love of the blues. Headlining will be Keb’ Mo’, Lil’ Ed & the Blues Imperials, and Bill Lynch with a tribute to Honeyboy Edwards and Louisiana Red by Earwig Music’s Michael Frank and Rocky Lawrence.
Guitar Center’s King of the Blues winners Kirby Kelley (2009) and Jonathon “Boogie” Long (2011) will display their remarkable talents and the festival will also showcase some of the rising stars in blues and standouts from the 2011 IBC Youth Showcase- The Peterson Brothers of Austin, Texas and Mathew Davidson of Shreveport, Louisiana.
