London’s Somerset House is set to launch an exhibition entitled The Rolling Stones: 50. The photographic exhibition will be free and showcase over 70 unseen pictures of studio, stage and reportage shots along with their contact sheets and negative strips. The show will be held in the East Wing Galleries from the 13th of July until the 27th of August to coincide with a July 12th book release, featuring quotes from the band on their unprecedented staying power alongside some 700 images. Limited edition prints will also be available for purchase from every era of the band’s history.
As of right now, the band has made no plans to commemorate the anniversary with an album or a tour, but this surely fascinating look into the past of one of the greatest rock bands of all time is sure to satisfy fans.
