Plenty of Willie Nelson, Band of Horses and Jamey Johnson fans are about to be pretty disappointed. The artists were set to embark on their Railroad Revival Tour, which was set for eight shows across the country kicking off on October 20th at the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth, Georgia. However, the tour was suddenly cancelled last week. All of the ticketholders will be receiving refunds. The details surrounding the cancellation have not been revealed. The organizers just posted this mysterious message on their website this afternoon:
“It is with extreme regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2012 Railroad Revival Tour. The decision to do so was a difficult one, but it was determined that certain complications would not permit us to host the shows in the manner intended, and that the bands and fans deserved.”
While Nelson has yet to say something specific on the matter, Band of Horses are already responding by organizing an impromptu tour of all the locations they would have visited during the Railroad Revival Tour. Tickets for the new BoH shows can be purchased at tickets.bandofhorses.com. All new tour dates are listed below:
10/21 – New Orleans, LA – House of Blues 10/22 – Memphis, TN – Minglewood Hall 10/23 – Tulsa, OK – Cain’s Ballroom 10/24 – Houston, TX – House of Blues 10/26 – Phoenix, AZ – Marquee Theater 10/27 – San Pedro, CA – Warner Grand 10/28 – Oakland, CA – Fox Theater
