With the release of their three albums ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tre!, Green Day have undertaken what may be their most ambitious project ever. (So much so that the pressure may have gotten to Billie Joe Armstrong a bit.) Now, the band are going to let us see how they came about to making those records: ¡Quatro!, a documentary about the band’s creative process behind the trilogy of albums, is slated to premiere November 28th on VH1.
The documentary will include behind-the-scenes footage chronicling the writing and recording of the three albums, as well as some of the unannounced live shows the band played in their native California. “[The film] brings our fans one step closer [to the recording process] by giving them even more access and revealing what it was like to record these three albums,” bassist Mike Dirnt said in a statement.
¡Quatro! premieres November 28th at midnight on VH1, so you may want to set your DVRs for this one.
