Arcade Fire have remained fairly quiet since they shocked the music world by winning the 2010 Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Aside from a few shows here and there, little has been seen of the acclaimed band. Last Saturday night, though, they gave a handful of lucky fans a taste of what’s coming from them.

About 100 fans gathered into the Breakglass Studio in Montreal to see an unknown band called Les Identiks on Saturday, but they were instead treated to a performance by the Arcade Fire featuring new material that could presumably be on an upcoming album. Band fan page Arcade Fire Tube described the new songs as “fun, dance-y and groovy.”

The band haven’t announced a timetable for the next record’s release date, but it is expected to be completed some time at the end of next year.
