Europe has its fair share of big festivals, from Glastonbury to Rokslide, but Spain’s Primavera Sound Festival may beat them all out. The Spanish festival’s lineup was announced yesterday, and it’s quite stacked, with Phoenix, My Bloody Valentine, Blur, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds listed among the headliners. The festival will also feature the first European live performance of The Postal Service, the side project from Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard whose record recently went platinum.
Along with the headliners, Primavera will feature performances from Fiona Apple, Grizzly Bear, Band of Horses, Titus Andronicus, DIIV, Daniel Johnston, Christopher Owens, Dinosaur Jr., Bob Mould, and many, many more. This is another festival that will probably require a studious amount of planning and an itinerary, but you can never have too many good bands on one bill.
Primavera Sound Festival starts on May 22nd and ends on May 26th in Barcelona, Spain. For more information, visit the festival’s website.
