English mope-rocker Morrissey has been hospitalized with a bleeding ulcer, forcing him to postpone dates on his U.S. tour. The singer plans to reschedule the missed shows for a later date.
Morrissey had originally been sent into the hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan when it was believed that he was suffering from a bladder infection. This is the second time that Morrissey has had to postpone his U.S. tour; the current set of tour dates were rescheduled from an October tour that was postponed after the singer’s mother came down with an unspecified illness.
In a statement issued through his publicist, Morrissey said that he is expected to make a full recovery, and he apologized for inconveniencing his U.S. fans. The singer’s tour is expected to resume in Las Vegas on February 9th.
