What’s more badass than a leather-clad grunge band trying to get away from the police? A leather-clad grunge band trying to escape the police while riding on Segways. Okay, so maybe “badass” is not the first word that comes to mind. But it’s still freaking hilarious. At least that’s what Soungarden shows us in their newest video.
A couple months ago, we heard that Dave Grohl added yet another item to his ever-expanding resume—directing music videos. Grohl took on Soundgarden’s new video for “By Crooked Steps” off of their latest album, King Animal. Grohl and Soundgarden take jabs at the much-loved persona of the rebellious heavy rocker as the band rides around like a biker gang on the preferred vehicles of rich, lazy business professionals and mall cops everywhere. When the gang crashes a club and forcefully takes over the scene from a oh-so-hipster DJ, things get crazy and an officer (played by Deadmau5 in a surprise appearance) tracks down the band in a high-speed chase. Well…as high-speed as Segways can go. Check out the video for “By Crooked Steps” below.
