The Strokes confirmed the official details of their fifth album this morning. Comedown Machine will be the band’s follow-up to their 2011 “comeback” album Angles, and it will be released on March 26th of this year. The band have also released some very minimal, utilitarian cover art, featured to the right.
The band also confirmed that the first single will indeed be called “All The Time,” which will be released online on February 19th. This confirms the rumor started by DJs at 107.7 The End in Seattle, who first claimed to have heard the single. Currently, the only song available off of the album is “One Way Trigger,” which fans can download for free on the band’s website. The Strokes promised to make a few more songs available in the lead-up to the album’s release.
The band are taking pre-orders for Comedown Machine on their website.
