As February kicking us with some nasty cold, snowy weather, the sun and warmth of June may seem pretty far away. But still—hang in there. Summer will be here eventually, and with it, New York’s annual Governors Ball Music Festival. Every year, Randall’s Island gets packed to the gills with a heavy dose of talented musicians and their loyal tri-state area fans. Governors Ball has just announced its third headliner for this year’s festival—Guns N’ Roses. Guns N’ Roses will be joining the Avett Brothers, Grizzly Bear, Gary Clark Jr., Animal Collective, the Dirty Projectors, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Portugal. the Man, Japandroids, Deerhunter and a many others. Governors Ball will be Guns N’ Roses’ first big U.S. show since their Las Vegas residency last year. The Governors Ball will take place on June 7-9 on Randall’s Island.
