Jack White wants to be your valentine. Really. To prove it, he’s got a gift for you. He’s releasing a new three-song single on old medical X-rays this V-Day. White joined up with Butthole Surfers frontman Gibby Haynes for The Gibby Haynes Blues Series, which will be released on White’s own Third Man Records. The Gibby Haynes Blues Series will have three tracks featuring Haynes on vocals while White rocks out on guitar. The tracks will be original songs “You Don’t Have to be Smart” and “Horse Named George” as well as a cover of punk band Adrenalin O.D.’s “Paul’s Not Home.” The songs will be released on seven-inch vinyl. A limited-edition “flex-ray” version will be available through the Third Man Records Rolling Record Store at SXSW next month. White and Third Man are also keeping busy with his archival blues series releases, which you should look out for soon. You can also see White perform this Sunday at the Grammys, where he’s racked up three nominations, including Album of the Year for Blunderbuss. The Gibby Haynes Blues Series will be out on February 14.
