The Hangout Music Fest in Gulf Shores, Alabama, is celebrating its fourth anniversary, and the festival organizers have decided to celebrate in style. This year, they’ve tapped Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Kings Of Leon to headline the festival, along with a third group that has yet to be announced. (Fingers crossed that they don’t burn us like Governor’s Ball did and pick the Frankenstein’s monster version of Guns ‘n’ Roses as a headliner.)
The rest of the lineup isn’t something to scoff at, either; Dirty Projectors, whose album Swing Lo Magellan was named one of the best albums of 2012 by our editorial staff, will be playing the festival. Joining them will be The Trey Anastasio Band, The Black Crowes, Jim James, Gov’t Mule, The Shins, The Breeders, moe., Moon Taxi, Best Coast, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Anders Osborne, The Kingston Springs, and many more!
For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Hangout Fest’s website. Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. this Friday and sell out quickly, so act fast!
