Canada really just wasn’t big enough for these two. Right after graduating high school, Tegan and Sara started touring. They’ve toured with plenty of big names, including Neil Young, the Pretenders, Ben Folds, Jack Johnson, Death Cab for Cutie, Weezer, the Killers and the Black Keys. So basically, these girls know what’s up. Melodic folk-rock with an electronic twist, Tegan and Sara’s music has hit the charts in the Great White North and here in the U.S. Last month, Tegan and Sara released their seventh studio album, Heartthrob, which—as you can probably guess—features plenty of power anthems and heartbreaking tunes that will make you relive all the good and bad of that last relationship. You can see the Canadian twin rockers as they hit the Beacon Theatre for two nights on February 19 and 20.
