Next week, the Best Buy Theater will host an all-star show of good country music. Vince Gill started out as a bluegrass singer and multi-instrumentalist and gained popularity with the Pure Prairie League. He later found success as a country artist. Gil plays banjo, guitar, fiddle, dobro, mandolin and bass. Impressive chops? We think so. And apparently the Country Music Association agrees. He has won more CMA Awards than any performer in history. His 14 Grammys tie him with Chet Atkins for most Grammys ever rewarded to a country artist. Emmylou Harris is right behind Gill with 12 Grammy wins. She’s worked with artists such as Gram Parsons, Roy Orbison, the Band, Mark Knopfler, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Little Feat, Rodney Crowell, Neil Young and others. Jason Aldean boasts sales of over seven million records and 10 No. One hits. Point is, Jason Aldean knows platinum. And he knows his country music too. Gill, Harris and Aldean will be joined by Pat Monahan, the lead singer/songwriter for Train. You can see Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Jason Aldean and Pat Monahan at the Best Buy Theater on February 26.
