Last year, Dirty Projectors released Swing Lo Magellan, an album that many-including us here at Elmore-judged to be among the best albums of 2012. As such, the time is as good as any for them to take a bit of a victory lap, and they’re doing just that with a tour of North America expected to last through June.
The band will begin their tour with a few dates with Delicate Steve while concluding with some dates supporting fellow Brooklynites The National. Dirty Projectors will also be hitting the festival circuit this year, with confirmed performances as Governor’s Ball, Hangout Festival, Sasquatch! Festival, Boston Calling, Bottle Rock Festival, and Bonnaroo. If you’re planning on hitting some festivals this summer, we recommend that you check these guys out. Their harmonies are even more impeccable live than they are on the record.
