It’s four videos for the price of one. That’s what Mumford & Sons give us in their new video for “Whispers in the Dark.” It’s really four mini-videos playing simultaneously; we get to see what each of the four band members does to prepare for a show. Marcus Mumford coolly cruises about in his motorcycle, Ben Lovett gets woken up from his vehicular slumber in a parking lot, Winston Marshall wanders around a shipyard and Ted Dwane transforms out of his corporate attire to adorn his signature Mumford & Sons look (complete with his facial accessory). All four musicians meet up at the end and the shots converge just as they take the stage. “Whispers in the Dark” is off of last year’s Babel, which, if you remember, won the coveted Album of the Year Award at the Grammys. The band is currently touring in Europe and will be back in the U.S. briefly for the Sasquatch! Festival, Bonaroo and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
