We New Yorkers and the Allman Brothers Band have got a history. Why? Well, the band just can’t seem to get enough of the Big Apple. And who can blame them? Every year, we set up a nice spot on the Beacon Theatre stage in preparation of their spring arrival. And we’re always happy to have them. The Allman Brothers Band’s March residency at the Beacon Theatre has become a tradition since its inception in 1989. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award-winners have announced that they’ll be performing 11 shows during the next two weeks. They’ve also added a special St. Patrick’s Day show for Sunday, March 17. And the band will be making the show super special by giving the first 2,200 fans free copies of Gregg Allman’s autobiography, My Cross to Bear. The Allman Brothers Band will be playing the Beacon from March 1 through March 17.
