Brooklyn indie-rock band Grizzly Bear have run into a few problems while curating this year’s ATP I’ll Be Your Mirror festival in London. According to some of the festival’s organizers, the event has been postponed for six months, moving from May 5th to November 2nd. The official cause for the change was that two of the festival’s headliners were unable to commit to playing the festival on the May date.
Grizzly Bear were named as curators for the second day of the two-day event; some of their hand-picked artists for the show include Van Dyke Parks, The Walkmen, Tortoise, Real Estate and I Break Horses. At this time, no one affiliated with the band or ATP has said exactly which artists forced the reschedule. Tickets that have already been purchased will be honored on November 2nd, but refunds will also be available.
The first day of ATP, curated by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and featuring the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The Black Lips, Dirty Beaches, and King Khan & The Shrines, will still happen on May 4th as scheduled.
