Ever the businessman, Jay-Z is embarking on yet another venture—and Philly music-lovers will definitely be thanking him for it. The headliners have just been announced for the second edition of Budweiser’s Made in America Festival. Curated by Jay-Z, the Made in America fest is certainly bound to be diverse. Artists such as Phoenix, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Imagine Dragons, Fitz & the Tantrums and the Gaslight Anthem will hit the stage with artists like Deadmau5, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa and more. It looks like musical diversity will be a trademark of the Made in America, which also teamed up an eclectic mix of artists for its debut run last year. “Many people would have said mixing Run-D.M.C. with Pearl Jam and Jay-Z [was ill-advised],” said Paul Chibe, vice president of U.S. marketing at Anheuser-Busch, regarding last year’s headliners. “But I think we delivered an amazing experience. We worked with Jay to find the right mix of artists to bring this to life again.” The festival will be held on Philly’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway from Aug. 31-Sept. 1.
