It’s taken a while, but people are finally catching on to the So So Glos. The Brooklyn-based punk quartet has been adamant about doing things their way, from setting up their own concert venues to starting their own label. Their newest album, Blowout, has people turning their heads, and for good reason: it’s a collection of fast, catchy tunes filled with the nervous energy that makes them such a great band live and on record. The group are finishing up their U.S. tour with a homecoming show at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. Come out to this one for what may be the most fun you’ve had watching a band.
