The Yeah Yeah Yeahs return home to New York City in their new video for “Despair.” Singer Karen O stars off by somberly singing atop a table in a bar. She then appears on top of the Empire State Building, and guitarist Nick Zinner and drummer Brian Chase both head out to meet her. When all three meet at the top of the Empire State Building, the band amps up the sound and Karen O jumps around smiling, gleefully declaring that there’s no need for despair. As the sun comes out over the skyscraper and the camera pans out to see the whole scene, it’s clear that there’s no despair in this song. You can watch the video for “Despair” below.
