The Pixies have just been announced as part of the headliners at Riot Fest 2013. The three-day punk, metal and alt-rock event will also feature the Replacements, Blink-182, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Andrew W.K., Rancid, Blondie, Bad Religion and others.

This will be the Pixies’ first North American performance since 2011. If you’ve been keeping up with the band, you know that bassist Kim Deal recently left, and the band has replaced her with Kim Shattuck of the Muffs and the Pandoras. They also just released “Bagboy,” the band’s second new song since their breakup in 1993. They’ll be kicking off their worldwide tour in Europe this fall.
