This summer, the blues are coming to the Financial District. The Lowdown Hudson Blues Festival brings some of the biggest and best names in blues to New York City for two days straight. The first day of festivities starts with the James Hunter Six (whose new album Minute By Minute is one of our favorites so far this year) and ends with a performance by the legendary B.B. King, while the second day features Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys, and Alejandro Escovedo. The best part about all of this, though? The show is absolutely free! The one thing better than blues on a hot summer day is free blues on a hot summer day, so don’t pick this weekend to stay inside!
