Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell will be hitting the stages this fall for what’s being called the “Second Songbook Tour.” Cornell has recently been touring with Soundgarden in support of the band’s most recent album, King Animal, which was released last year. This solo acoustic tour will feature solo arrangements from the album and possibly work from his 2011 solo LP, Songbook.
Cornell’s last solo tour was in support of his Songbook album and featured him performed stripped-down versions of Soundgarden tracks in addition to some of his solo work. During this tour, he will once again perform a mix of Soundgarden and solo songs.
You Cornell fans will have another reason to feel good about checking out his shows; one dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to his Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation. The foundation, created last year, works to “raise awareness and mobilize support for children facing tough challenges including homelessness, poverty, abuse and/or neglect.” For more information, check out Cornell’s website.
