Interpol’s cooking up another one. The band has confirmed that they have been holed up in a studio in Brooklyn, preparing new material for their next release. On Wednesday, guitarist Daniel Kessler tweeted: “We had a good rehearsal yesterday. Started working on a new tune. We were all digging it.-DK.” Yesterday, he tweeted: “And wouldn’t ya know it … we started working on another new tune yesterday. August be a breeding ground.-DK.”
Their last album, Interpol, was released in 2010, and bassist Carlos Dengler left the band shortly after the album’s completion. The band re-released their popular debut album Turn on the Bright Lights last November in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
