2013 is shaping up to be the year of the So So Glos: their album Blowout has made the Brooklyn-bred punk rock band one of the most talked-about bands today, earning them appearances on The Late Show With David Letterman and MTV. Today, the Glos put out their newest work, a music video for their single “Lost Weekend.”
The video plays out like a love letter to New York-specifically, a love letter to the long-standing tradition of delinquency. Images of the riots of New York City’s past flash on the screen while guitarist Ryan Levine takes swigs of cheap liquor out of a bottle in his pocket and Matt Elkin slaps paper out of the hands of unsuspecting bystanders. There’s also a shout-out to the band’s beloved New York Mets in the beginning of the video. Check out the clip below, via Noisey:
