Earlier this year, David Bowie returned to the scene after a decade of silence to release The Next Day. Now Bowie is expanding the album with a three-disc collector’s edition, The Next Day Extra, which will feature extra songs, videos and remixes, one of which has been done by James Murphy, formerly of LCD Soundsystem. The Next Day Extra will include the 14 tracks from the original album, a second disc with five unreleased songs and a DVD with four videos for tracks on the album. Some of the previously unreleased tracks include “Atomica,” “Love is Lost (Hello Steve Reich Mix by James Murphy),” “The Informer,” “Like a Rocket Man,” “Born in a UFO,” “I’d Rather Be High (Venetian Mix)” and “God Bless the Girl.” “Plan,” “I’ll Take You There” and “So She,” which were all previously released on The Next Day deluxe edition, will also appear on the second disc with the unreleased tracks. Some of the extras will also be available on a digital EP on iTunes. The Next Day Extra will be released on Nov. 5.
