It’s all about the Stones. The band got fans going with its recent celebration of its 50th anniversary, and now the celebration will continue as the Rolling Stones will be honored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 18th annual Music Master Series, which will take place Oct. 21-26 in Cleveland.
The series, which is called “It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll (But I Like It): The Music of the Rolling Stones,” will feature interviews, panels, films and other programs. The week will conclude a conference at the Rock Hall that will explore the Stones’ musical influence and a tribute concert at PlayhouseSquare’s State Theatre. The concert will include performances by musicians such as Ian McLagan, Lisa Fischer, Bobby Keys, Berry Fowler, Trevor Lawrence, Steve Madaio, Ivan Neville, Waddy Wachtel and Willie Weeks, among others.
Tickets to the show will go on sale for Rock Hall members on Sept. 16, and general ticket sales begin on Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. on PlayhouseSquare’s website. If you don’t have enough Stones, “The Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction” exhibit, which opened at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in May, is still running and will be up until March 2014.
