Over the course of a 20-year career, Mark Kozelek has established himself as one of the most consistent and prolific songwriters working today. 2013 has been an especially busy year for Kozelek: he’s already released an album of cover songs (Like Rats), collaborative efforts with Jimmy LaValle and Desertshore, and two live albums…and he’s already prepping for another album with his band Sun Kil Moon. Be prepared to hear some of those songs when he shows up for a solo performance at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, as well as a few of his older classics from his days with the Red House Painters. Kozelek has always had a reputation as a haunting, intense live performer; this one is sure to be great.
