Media mogul Jim Dolan has an interesting side career as the lead singer of JD & The Straight Shot, a hard-driving, old-school blues/rock band that has opened for the likes of The Eagles. This year, the band will be releasing their debut full-length album, and they’ve given us a taste of what’s to come with the new song and video “Fall From Grace.”
Filmed at the Avatar Recording Studios in New York, which has hosted the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Dire Straits, “Fall From Grace” is a groovy, keyboard-driven number with a sinister tone that predicts the subject’s downward spiral. It’s a subtle introduction to the band, but that doesn’t mean it’s not powerful.
