Queens of the Stone Age are certainly in the Halloween spirit. On Oct. 30, the band will release an interactive music video for “The Vampyre of Time and Memory,” off of the band’s most recent release, …Like Clockwork. QOTSA has shared a short teaser for the video, which was directed by Kii Arens and Jason Trucco and made in collaboration with the Creators Project.
In the creepy clip, QOTSA frontman Josh Homme sits at a leopard print piano in the company of a roomful of taxidermy animals. According to the Creators Project, the interactive clip will “reimagine the music video as a virtual art installation distinguished by horror, weird beauty and a deep vein of surrealism. There have been interactive music videos in the past, but none that so strongly capture a band’s essence.”
And if you saw QOTSA’s short film for …Like Clockwork, you know that the band certainly has a love for horror, weird beauty and surrealism.
