Bruce Springsteen likes to do things big, as evidenced by his mammoth tour behind last year’s Wrecking Ball, which has just ended. Not one to just let something like that end with a whimper, the Boss commemorated the occasion with an open letter thanking his fans and a new version of his cover of punk pioneers Suicide’s “Dream Baby Dream.”
Springsteen’s letter thanks “all the tramps and travelers who exposed themselves night after night to the long flights, the long drives, the long queuing, the rain, the sleeplessness in order to inspire and fuel us,” including tour hands, managers, and fans. “You have reignited a great passion for what we do,” the letter reads. “We’ll do our best to honor it.”
Springsteen’s next live date is at the Theater at Madison Square Garden for the Stand Up For Heroes benefit show before launching a tour of Australia and New Zealand next year. Full tour dates can be found here.
